The Nanaimo International Jazz Festival Association is thrilled to announce its 2024 Festival headline act, which will be performing at the Port Theatre, Saturday September 14th at 7:30pm.
The Canadian All Stars Band features an illustrious line-up of some of Canada’s finest jazz masters.
This sextet stars seasoned pros who are well-known both nationally and internationally; Phil Dwyer (saxophones), Christine Jensen (saxophones), Ted Quinlan (guitar), Alexander Brown (trumpet), Roberto Occhipinti (bass) and the legendary Terry Clark (drums).
Each of these players can claim Juno award wins or nomination status, and two members are recipients of the distinguished Order of Canada. This concert promises a unique opportunity to hear these Canadian jazz aces sharing the stage as a sextet for the very first time.
